Basketball Recap: East New York Family Academy Continues Road Dominance on Friday

East New York Family Academy extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Arianna Mercado. East New York Family Academy simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Midwood Hornets 94-17 thanks in part to Mercado, who went 14 of 20 on her way to 36 points and five steals. Her afternoon made it 12 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Michel'Le Little, who went 9 for 15 en route to 21 points along with eight steals and six assists. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2023.

East New York Family Academy's record now sits at 16-7. As for Midwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

East New York Family Academy has already played their next contest (against South Shore), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Midwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Brooklyn Technical at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
