Softball Recap: Eastern Greene Takes a Loss

Eastern Greene was the 12-7 winner over Loogootee when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Thunderbirds fell 7-3 to the Lions on Thursday. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ashlynn Bellman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. Charley Paurazas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Eastern Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Loogootee, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern Greene will host Shakamak at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loogootee, they will welcome Forest Park at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
