Basketball Game Preview: Sparta Spartans vs. Coopersville Broncos

Sparta is 1-9 against Coopersville since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Sparta Spartans will be playing at home against the Coopersville Broncos at 7:00 p.m. Sparta will be strutting in after a win while Coopersville will be coming in after a loss.

Sparta took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They snuck past Lowell with a 53-48 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Coopersville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 54-49 to Greenville. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 27th).

Coopersville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Sparta, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
