Soccer Game Preview: Burroughs vs. Pasadena

The Burroughs Bears will challenge the Pasadena Bulldogs at 3:35 p.m. on Monday. Burroughs' last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Saturday, neither Burroughs nor Muir could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Brayden Ghazarian hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Burroughs' goal came courtesy of Justin Garcia, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Pasadena put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Crescenta Valley onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Give the Bulldogs' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Pasadena's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven contests. With that draw, Burroughs' record moves to 5-8-3.
