Butte Valley falls despite strong effort from Jacob Allen

Recap: Butte Valley Bulldogs vs. Hayfork Timberjacks
After flying high against the Dunsmuir Tigers last Tuesday, the Butte Valley Bulldogs came back down to earth. Butte Valley took a hard 74-56 fall against Hayfork on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Butte Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacob Allen. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with seven assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Allen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Burrow, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Butte Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9. As for Hayfork, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-6.
Butte Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hayfork also has no future games currently scheduled.
