If Lake Ridge Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Brooklyn, they should've done a better job of containing Devin Hardwick. The Brooklyn Hurricanes blew past the Lake Ridge Academy Royals 65-43 on Thursday thanks in part to Hardwick, who dropped a double-double with 37 points and 15 rebounds. The match was his 17th in a row with at least 17 points.

Another player making a difference was Mason Vega, who posted two points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (three).

Brooklyn's victory bumped their record up to 4-17. As for Lake Ridge Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Brooklyn has already played their next game, a 64-58 win against Max S. Hayes on the 14th. As for Lake Ridge Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Central Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 22nd. Central Christian will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lake Ridge Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
