Basketball Recap: Davison Takes a Loss

If Davison was feeling good fresh off their 70-42 takedown of Mt. Morris last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Davison Cardinals lost 70-50 to Saginaw United on Friday. While the Cardinals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Saginaw United 16-11 in the first quarter.

Davison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Saginaw United, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davison will welcome East Lansing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Lansing knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Davison likes a good challenge. As for Saginaw United, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Central at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th.
