Volleyball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Petal Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-7, 25-16.

Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Petal, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Meridian is set to face off against their familiar foe Oak Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Petal will take on rival Pearl at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
