The Lake Country Lutheran Lightning will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Luther Prep Phoenix at 7:15 p.m. Lake Country Lutheran has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 647 points over their last eight contests.
Lake Country Lutheran scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Messmer, posting a 112-78 win at home. Lake Country Lutheran has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 34 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Sam Hans, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Hans, who scored 16 points.
Luther Prep posted their biggest win yet this season on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 67-43 margin over St. John's Northwestern Military Academy. The victory was just what Luther Prep needed coming off of a 81-49 defeat in their prior contest.
Lake Country Lutheran's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 53 points. As for Luther Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Lake Country Lutheran beat Luther Prep 74-66 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Will Lake Country Lutheran repeat their success, or does Luther Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
