Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fort Wayne Canterbury walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Fremont Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Among those leading the charge was Caroline Hirschy, who had 12 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Hirschy wasn't the only good servers: Fort Wayne Canterbury was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. The Cavaliers are 13-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

The win made it two in a row for Fort Wayne Canterbury and bumps their season record up to 17-8. As for Fremont, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-21.

Fort Wayne Canterbury didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Hamilton on the 18th. Fremont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
