Recap: Baltic Bulldogs vs. Canton C-Hawks
The Baltic Bulldogs waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They enjoyed a cozy 73-59 win over Canton. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jack Erickson was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Baltic's points. Ben Erickson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Baltic has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Canton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
Baltic will head out on the road to square off against Flandreau at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Baltic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Flandreau likes a good challenge. As for Canton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 80-74 loss vs. Madison on the 10th.
