Preview: Boyertown Bears vs. Interboro Buccaneers
The Boyertown Bears will be playing at home against the Interboro Buccaneers at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Boyertown has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
Last Thursday, Boyertown ended up a good deal behind Methacton and lost 61-47. While losing is never fun, Boyertown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Methacton is ranked 81st).
Despite the loss, Boyertown got a solid performance out of Trey Kern, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Greaves, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Interboro scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Academy Park by a score of 74-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Boyertown has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Interboro, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7.
