Baseball Recap: Inglewood Takes a Loss

Inglewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hawthorne Cougars. If the Sentinels were looking for revenge after losing 17-7 to the Cougars when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wesley Jackson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Inglewood's record is now 3-17. As for Hawthorne, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-15.

While Inglewood had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
