Volleyball Recap: ITW David Speer Academy Comes Up Short

ITW David Speer Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Muchin College Prep Mountain Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountain Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Muchin College Prep scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19.

ITW David Speer Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Muchin College Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. ITW David Speer Academy will square off against rival Golder at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Muchin College Prep is set to challenge their familiar foe Noble Street College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
