Rockwall is 8-1 against Longview since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Rockwall Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the Longview Lobos at 7:00 p.m. Rockwall is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Rockwall will head into Tuesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 20-point drubbing they dealt Royse City on Tuesday. Rockwall put the hurt on Royse City with a sharp 40-20 victory. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 419th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Longview didn't have too much trouble with Royse City on Saturday as they won 66-47.

Longview's win came from a few key players Rockwall will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jailiyah Rockmore, who went 6 of 13 en route to 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Terri Sparkman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Longview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Longview pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Rockwall, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Rockwall beat Longview 51-41 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will Rockwall repeat their success, or does Longview have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
