St. Benedict at Auburndale has gone 9-1 against Briarcrest Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Saints at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in St. Benedict at Auburndale's favor as the team sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Briarcrest Christian has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times St. Benedict at Auburndale and Arlington have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 13-1 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven runs or more this season.

Madison Young made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Zoie Bernard was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Sadie Quinteros was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

St. Benedict at Auburndale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Briarcrest Christian's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-0 to Munford, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

St. Benedict at Auburndale's victory bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Briarcrest Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-21.
