Basketball Recap: North Central Takes Down University in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Central had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the University Titans by a score of 77-70. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolfpack also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makai Daniels, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Daniels has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Issac Williams, who posted 18 points and four steals.

North Central's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.3 points over those games. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
