Basketball Recap: Benjamin Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Benjamin had won two straight games and Logan Buchanan did his part to make it three on Friday. The Benjamin Buccaneers blew past the Jupiter Christian Eagles 70-50 thanks in part to Buchanan, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Jordan Rivera and Chase Reinstein certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Rivera went 7 for 9 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds, while Reinstein went 5 of 10 en route to 19 points. The match was Rivera's sixth in a row with at least ten points.

Benjamin has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Jupiter Christian, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8.

Benjamin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-50 win against John Carroll Catholic on the 5th. Jupiter Christian has also already played their next matchup, a 77-36 loss against St. John Paul II Academy on the 5th.
