Baseball Recap: Red Boiling Springs Takes a Loss

Red Boiling Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 17-0 to the Jackson County Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 back in March.

Red Boiling Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Jackson County, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-15.

Red Boiling Springs and Jackson County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Bulldogs (ranked 357th) will meet Gordonsville (ranked 156th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Jackson County will challenge Watertown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (326 vs. 34).
