Chatfield waltzed into their contest on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Academy of Holy Angels Stars. That's more bragging rights for the Gophers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Trindy Barkeim paced Chatfield's offense, picking up nine kills. Barkeim got some help from Harper Goldsmith and her 20 assists. Barkeim was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Chatfield's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Academy of Holy Angels, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-4.

Chatfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Cretin-Derham Hall on the 4th. As for Academy of Holy Angels, they will head out to face off against Highland Park at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
