Last Wednesday, Seven Rivers Christian earned a 60-49 win over Academy at the Lakes.
Hendrix Loughridge was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Seven Rivers Christian's points. Richard Kilias was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pensacola had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They slipped by Escambia 46-45 last Friday.
Pensacola's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Jones, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Jones, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Seven Rivers Christian pushed their record up to 6-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Pensacola, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Seven Rivers Christian have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 37 rebounds per game.
