Basketball Recap: Harrells Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Harrells Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Louisburg Warriors 64-20. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while the Warriors are ranked 217th).

Louisburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was CHLOE ARRINGTON, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 17 points in addition to three steals and three blocks. ARRINGTON has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of RYANNE ARRINGTON, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to four steals and three blocks.

Harrells Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Louisburg, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Harrells Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-19 defeat against Cape Fear Academy on the 10th. Louisburg has also already played their next match, a 39-33 loss against Vance County on the 10th.
