Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Buchanan

Buchanan had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Dowagiac Chieftains 5-3. That's more bragging rights for the Bucks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Buchanan's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Zeiger, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Zeiger a new career-high.

Buchanan now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Dowagiac, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Buchanan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chieftains: the pair will be back at it again later today.
