Basketball Recap: Uxbridge Spartans vs. Nipmuc Regional Warriors

After losing to the Nipmuc Regional Warriors the last time they met, the Uxbridge Spartans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Uxbridge came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 52-39 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Uxbridge.

Uxbridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Mccusker, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Kellen Lachapelle, who scored 13 points.

Nipmuc Regional lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Logan DeMarzo, who scored 13 points. James McKinney was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Uxbridge's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Nipmuc Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Uxbridge will stay at home for another game and welcome the Rams at 6:30 p.m. on February 5th. Northbridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully the Spartans like a good challenge. As for Nipmuc Regional, they will be playing at home against the Minutemen at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
