Baseball Recap: Loyalsock Township Has No Trouble Against Jersey Shore

Loyalsock Township's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Jersey Shore Bulldogs as they made off with a 10-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Lancers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Deryk Kulp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. He has become a key player for Loyalsock Township: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Chase Wright was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kayden Keefer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Loyalsock Township lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
