Game recap: Campo Verde High School Football Team tops Westwood

MESA, Ariz. - After trading leads two times, Campo Verde (Gilbert, Ariz.) snatched the lead for good when McKay Tingey threw a touchdown to Josh Brown in the third quarter, paving the way for victory over Westwood (Mesa, Ariz.) 28-14.

The score was knotted at seven heading into the half. The Coyotes took the lead indefinitely on a touchdown pass by Tingey to Brown in the third quarter.

Campo Verde went into the matchup giving up only 10.2 points per game. The 14 points that the Warriors ended with were well below their average of 34.5 coming into the game.
