Downingtown East had won four straight home games and Ashley Januszko did her part to make it five on Saturday. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Magic 3-2 thanks in part to Januszko, who had 24 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Downingtown East took Mt. St. Joseph Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-21, 25-16, 19-25, 15-13.

Downingtown East's victory bumped their record up to 15-4-4. As for Mt. St. Joseph Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Downingtown East will square off against Downingtown West at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. St. Joseph Academy, they will face off against Gwynedd Mercy Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
