Volleyball Recap: Jurupa Valley Comes Up Short

If Jurupa Valley was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of La Sierra on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars fell 3-1 to the Ramona Rams on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

While Jurupa Valley ultimately came up short, they really made Ramona work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-22, 18-25, 25-17, 26-24.

Among those leading the charge was Sebastian Camacho, who had 13 digs and three assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in March.

Jurupa Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Ramona, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Jurupa Valley is taking a road trip to square off against Norte Vista at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ramona, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Valley View at 5:15 p.m.
