Leslie hit Haslett with a eight-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blackhawks.

Ayden Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zach Curtis, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Haslett has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Leslie, the win got them back to even at 13-13.

Looking ahead, Haslett will take on Williamston at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Leslie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
