Basketball Game Preview: Box Elder Bees vs. Northridge Knights

The Box Elder Bees will head out to face off against the Northridge Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Box Elder is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.

Box Elder is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were beaten by Viewmont 75-45. The Bees were down 58-38 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Box Elder saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ryan Jenson shot 5-for-7 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Jenson a new career-high in points. Carter Buchanon was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 11 points.

Meanwhile, Northridge ended up a good deal behind Bountiful on Friday and lost 77-61. The Knights haven't had much luck with the RedHawks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Box Elder, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Box Elder skirted past Northridge 70-67 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Box Elder since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
