Softball Recap: Hutsonville/Palestine Takes a Loss

Hutsonville/Palestine saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Arcola Purple Riders by a score of 7-5. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly two runs.

Brynn Griffin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Hutsonville/Palestine has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season. As for Arcola, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

Hutsonville/Palestine didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-3 victory against Lawrenceville on the 10th. As for Arcola, they will take on Argenta-Oreana at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
