Softball Recap: Douglass Bulldogs vs. Conway Springs Cardinals
Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Conway Springs Cardinals, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent loss being a 16-9 defeat on Monday.
Douglass saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Waggoner, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Conway Springs, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
Coming up, Douglass will look to defend their home field on Friday against Winfield at 4:00 p.m. As for Conway Springs, they will head out on the road to square off against Kingman/Norwich at 4:00 p.m. on the 17th.
