Basketball Recap: Beach Channel Comes Up Short

Beach Channel lost against Metropolitan back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Beach Channel Dolphins had to suffer through a 67-23 loss at the hands of Metropolitan. While losing is never fun, the Dolphins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while Metropolitan are ranked 55th).

Beach Channel's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Metropolitan, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beach Channel will welcome Richmond Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Metropolitan has already played their next matchup (against Springfield Gardens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
