Baseball Recap: Sand Creek Comes Up Short

Sand Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Salida Spartans, falling 14-6.

Sand Creek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Rockhold, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another was Nolan Stratton, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Sand Creek's record is now 8-8. As for Salida, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Coming up, Sand Creek will venture away from home to face off against Sierra at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Stallions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.07 runs per game on average), something the Scorpions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Salida, they will host Lamar at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
