Soccer Recap: Windsor's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

Windsor kept a clean sheet against Timnath on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cubs. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Windsor's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Timnath are ranked 96th).

Ella Crotts and Raegan Lewis scored both of Windsor's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Windsor has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those five matchups. As for Timnath, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 3-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor will venture away from home to square off against Fossil Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fossil Ridge's last six games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Timnath, they will head out to challenge Niwot at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Niwot will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Timnath surely won't give up without a fight.
