            Baseball Recap: Holly Wildcats vs. Stratton Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Holly waltzed into their contest  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Stratton Eagles by a score of  11-6. With that  victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.3  runs per game.

 Devin Eaton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   seven  hits (and only one walk). That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Edson Noriega was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.  Coy King was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Holly  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .556. They are 3-1 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Holly pushed their record up to 4-6 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Stratton,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holly will square off against McClave at 10:00  a.m.  on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 12  runs per game this season. As for Stratton, they will face off against Limon at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Badgers will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
