Soccer Recap: Fitchburg Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Fitchburg hadn't done well against West Boylston recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Red Raiders never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Considering Fitchburg's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The win made it two in a row for Fitchburg and bumps their season record up to 4-1-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for West Boylston, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
