            Baseball Recap: Blackstone Valley Prep PRIDE vs. Davies Career & Tech Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Juanita Sanchez Complex, Blackstone Valley Prep was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They walked away with  a   5-2  victory over the Davies Career & Tech Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-2  back in March.

 Noah Ferreira
 Noah Ferreira made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits (and not a single walk). He is becoming a predictor of Blackstone Valley Prep's success: when he allows at  most one  earned run the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Ferreira was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Adrian Fernandez Jimenez was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple and two  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  he  hit this season. Another player making a difference was  Alex Torres, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Blackstone Valley Prep now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Davies Career & Tech, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Blackstone Valley Prep is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Exeter-West Greenwich  at 12:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Davies Career & Tech will  square off against  rival Woonsocket  at 6:30  p.m.  on  the 22nd. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Patriots 3.8, the Villa Novans 2.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
