Softball Recap: Sussex County Tech Takes a Loss

Sussex County Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Kittatinny Regional Cougars, falling 11-5. Sussex County Tech was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Kittatinny Regional earlier this season, when they won 12-9.

Sussex County Tech's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Kittatinny Regional, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sussex County Tech will take on Hopatcong at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Sussex County Tech are facing the Chiefs at the right time seeing as the Chiefs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Kittatinny Regional, they will head out to challenge Wallkill Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rangers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.57 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
