Softball Game Preview: Tecumseh Indians vs. Monroe Trojans

For the second straight game, Tecumseh will face off against Monroe. The Indians will head out to face off against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Tecumseh is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Tecumseh barely beat Monroe the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Trojans on Thursday. The Indians have beaten the Trojans the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Trojans has come to flipping the script.

Kennedi Fulton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Ashlyn Moorehead was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Maya Juozapaitis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Tecumseh kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Tecumseh, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
