Soccer Game Preview: Godinez Fundamental vs. Buena Park

The Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies will challenge the Buena Park Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Things were looking good for Godinez Fundamental after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kennedy. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 181st).

Godinez Fundamental's goal came courtesy of Joahanna Castellanos, who's now up to 15 this season.

Meanwhile, Buena Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Tustin. That's two games in a row now that the Coyotes have lost by exactly two goals.

Godinez Fundamental's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-4. As for Buena Park, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13-1.
