Blue Hill hadn't done well against Meridian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bobcats skirted past the Mustangs 2-1. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Blue Hill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-16, 25-23.

The win got Blue Hill back to even at 1-1. As for Meridian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Hill will venture away from home to face off against Grand Island Central Catholic on Tuesday. As for Meridian, they will head out to square off against Giltner at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
