Preview: North Gwinnett vs. Parkview
North Gwinnett is 0-7-2 against Parkview since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The North Gwinnett Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Parkview Panthers at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Gwinnett has three straight victories, Parkview has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, North Gwinnett kept a clean sheet against Lowndes. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Vikings. With that win, North Gwinnett brought their scoring average up to 2.7 goals per game.
They hit Lowndes with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Cameron Martin (2),
Kendall Barley (2), and
Iliana Hernandez.
Meanwhile, the matchup between Parkview and Lovett on Friday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. Parkview was the victim of a rough 8-1 defeat at the hands of Lovett.
North Gwinnett's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Parkview, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
North Gwinnett suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Parkview when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can North Gwinnett avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
