Basketball Preview: Liberty Hurricanes vs. East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers
The Liberty Hurricanes's road trip will continue as they head out to face the East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Liberty is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Cavaliers in Pennsylvania (the Hurricanes are ranked 76th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 256th).
Even though Easton Area scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, Liberty still came out on top. Liberty slipped by the Rovers 59-58.
Meanwhile, East Stroudsburg South's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell 73-64 to East Stroudsburg North. East Stroudsburg South has struggled against the Timberwolves recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Liberty has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for East Stroudsburg South, they dropped their record down to 8-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Liberty came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cavaliers in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, sneaking past 48-46. Will Liberty repeat their success, or do the Cavaliers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
