Recap: West Logan Christian Academy Warriors vs. Tug Valley Panthers

The West Logan Christian Academy Warriors's 16-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. 2024 welcomed they with a 72-52 loss courtesy of Tug Valley on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, West Logan Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Tug Valley is ranked 13th).

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Walls, who scored 19 points. The match was Walls' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Adams, who scored 16 points.

This is the second loss in a row for West Logan Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Tug Valley, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

West Logan Christian Academy will take on Calvary Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tug Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Mingo Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
