Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Mirage Rattlers vs. Palm Springs Indians

Rancho Mirage hasn't had much luck against Palm Springs recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Rancho Mirage Rattlers will face off against the Palm Springs Indians at 6:30 p.m. Rancho Mirage is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

On Monday, Rancho Mirage was able to grind out a solid win over Shadow Hills, taking the game 66-53. Given the Rattlers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Knights are ranked 707th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Palm Springs' good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palm Desert.

Palm Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Rancho Mirage, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Rancho Mirage didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Palm Springs in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 52-48 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rancho Mirage since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
