The home team had won the previous three meetings between Doyline and Weston, and Weston kept the tradition alive. The Doyline Panthers lost 15-5 to the Weston Wolves on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 19-11 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Doyline has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. Weston's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Doyline will take on Gibsland-Coleman at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Doyline has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Weston, they will challenge Captain Shreve at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
