Basketball Recap: Silliman Institute Comes Up Short

Silliman Institute lost against Oak Forest Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Silliman Institute Wildcats lost to the Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets on the road by a 57-38 margin. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Silliman Institute still got an impressive performance from Katie Ryan Dawson, who went 7 for 13 on her way to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Dawson is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlie Dawson, who posted two points along with six assists and five boards.

Silliman Institute's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Oak Forest Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Silliman Institute nor Oak Forest Academy have any future games scheduled.
