 Mabel-Canton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They took  a  9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southland Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mabel-Canton of the  13-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  on Friday.
 Mabel-Canton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cayden Tollefsrud, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tyler Larson, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases.
 Mabel-Canton's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Southland, the  victory was  the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.
 Mabel-Canton will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons at 12:00  p.m. Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons is coming into the  match with five straight  defeats on the road,  meaning Mabel-Canton will have to defend against a  squad hungry for a  win. As for Southland, they will play host again  on Saturday to welcome Liberty Classical Academy, where first pitch is scheduled  at 1:00  p.m.
