Basketball Recap: La Pine Comes Up Short

La Pine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 71-29 loss at the hands of the Creswell Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 35th).

La Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Creswell, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the La Pine Hawks take on the Elmira Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Creswell, they are taking a road trip to square off against Sisters at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Creswell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
